was reading on an open class rally 88 gtx that was running 93 accord wagon front rotors (10.21 dia x .91 thick) and rx7 calipers up front and stock gtx fronts on rear.

Anyone else tried this? The rotors are only 2mm wider so this should work.

Price out a set of new front calipers for a 95 escort. Trade in your old ones for the core. They won't notice. They'll have 22V inscribed on them. Yours should say 18V. The caliper piston is larger. You'll have more pedal travel but the stopping power will increase some since the caliper piston is larger and transfer more force (pounds per sq in) to the pads.

You can always upgrade to the galant 266mm rotors later if you want. It's not that hardcore of an upgrade... it's the next logical step. So next time you replace your rotors you don't have to remove the hubs. I'd do it now if I were you.
Is this 22V interchangeble with 18V ?. That means caliper piston diameters are same? In other words brake pads for 18V can be used for 22V or any other!

How would I go about converting those crappy drums to discs on my base SE or LX?

find a 323 GT and take all the brakes and knuckles and bolt them on

Oh maaaan, that's gonna be a long shot at my local junkyard. Is that my only option -I'm hoping some of the 626 models with 4 lugs or Carismas could provide the needed components. Thanks Trailrider.

You could buy the shell that familiaGT was trying to sell.... drop a motor in it and you'll have your brake upgrade.....

Whats the smallest wheel size you can use for the Gallant upgrade? Ive got the stock 14s on my GT. Will those work?
Also whats the difference between calipers stamped 22v 13 and 22v 14? I just realized I picked up 22v 13's.

the stock 14s will work, and no difference in the calipers
