Mazda 3 is a Focus???

actually it IS a version of the MZR 2.3L engine, tuned by Ford for emissions obviously.

The new European Focus that shares it's platform with the Mazda3 won't be coming to North America for QUITE a while. The 2005 Focus is the same old Focus, just with a mid-life facelift. It's too bad, becasuse I'm sure a lot of people will be fooled into thinking it's brand new.

They do share the MZR though, so hopefully we'll see more inerchangeable parts.
