      There aren't too many modded Pro/323/Escorts around here, a kid I used to hang out with got one and used alot of advice from me to build it, and there's a guy with a GTR engine and a 96 EGT but last i heard the car and motor were still seperate from each other, lol.

        yeah they are a rare find around here.the only other pro that i know of in the area is my buddies 03.5 mazdaspeed which has a lot of work done to it.i think i've seen your egt in carlisle years ago . . . i know asr goes everywhere!you guys won some awards at HIN last year too right??

          Yep, went to carlisle when it was at the fairgrounds from 98 to 03, i took my 323 GTX in 01 because the EGT was wrecked, but the EGT has gone every other year. I actually won best in show domestic in 02, after the car was fixed and the paint, seats and a bunch of other stuff was added, thanks to the votes of my fellow EGT owners in part. We really didn't win much if anything at HIN unfortunately, though we got a good spot being with dunlop tires this past year.

                        Yeah, well, I got the rx7 and decided to leave the speed to it. I might still do something interesting with the Escort since I still have it. Plus I came to the conclusion that the BPT had very little of the parts I really wanted on it, the turbo isn't that big, the head sucks, etc.

                          just swap the n/a head over to your bpt and it will flow better, or not worry about it at all and have a 200+ hp escort to zip around in. i know i liked it as a daily driver.

                            a better flowing head wont net a big gain in power unless we're talking about big airflow from a big turbo.

                              I sold off the BPT quite a while ago anyways, I figured if I ever decided to go back down that road I'd get an NA BP, do rods and pistons, a little headwork and throw a T3 or more at it on a custom manifold. But at this point its just an NA toy that I sometimes daily drive in summer.

                                I don't think that motor will ever find it's way into that car.
