Ok, sounds like a good idea, but A: Don't you have to roundover the end and put the nipple on so it stays in the arm? and B: Don't you run the risk of pushing the throwout bearing off of the shaft it rides on? and C: Am I able to use the Synthetic DOT 4 after using regular brake fluid, (ie..Does it cause any leaking?).Last edited by 91scortgt; 06-02-2006, 11:14 AM.

if you extend the pushrod properly & grind it accordingly to fit in the slave cylinder piston you won't have issues, I know jack about dot4 synthetic.---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

I just use what we buy by the gallon at work....it's free for me.
Off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure it's Castrol Synthenic that exceeds Dot 3 and 4 ratings.

Dot 3 and DOT 4 are compatible. DOT 5 is silicone based.
You shouldn't have any leaks when converting to synthetic.
