Yesterday night gave the engine fresh oil and filter. It was almost crude what came out of the pan. It seems the owner must have used the trick of stop engine oil smoke by using the high viscocity (syrup like) blend.

Because once I put fresh oil on the car, this morning upon start-up blue smoke came out of the exhaust ( it was a lot), but stops after it warms up. In the afternoon it smoked again after a whole day parked at work.

I got a spare cylinder head, damaged on the bottom from the machine shop, it was shaved incorrectly and rendering un-usable. I was thinking of swapping the little rubber valve seals and maybe the lifters... I thought about using the syrup oil but I know that is a ghetto temporary fix...

Definitely replace the valve seals. There's a good chance they're leaking oil into the chambers and causing the blue smoke. Rather than replacing the lifers, check out this how to on cleaning them to stop the lifter ticking:

I found them at Auto Zone for about 22 bucks for the whole, the hard part is to change them as I have done it before and it is lot of crap that got to be taken apart.

Got to do what I got to do... Thanks for the diy link for the lifters.

Looks like you got a good deal. Once you get it up to great running condition you will hava a nice DD.

            Rebuild kit

Now that I am tearing that engine apart I decided on buying the whole gasket kit; valve seals, head gasket, cam seals, a set of piston rings and rod bearings.

Got a very good deal on EBAY plus I used the current 10% discount...

I left the car alone for a while and now I am starting to recover momentum to get the work done. Sometimes it happens that I fall into this "depression" of not touching not even a screwdriver, but then all of a sudden everything comes back and recover energy to start wrenching again.
