You might need a bigger fuel pump you really don't want to starve your fuel but you really need better intercooler piping for that big turbo. He also needs to tighten his exhaust bolts again and torque them. The one in the picture is threading itself back out. That can cause a boost leak. He needs to take the H box off the intake. That black box on the intake side of the turbo is not needed anymore. needs to replace valve cover breather probably upgrade to a supra metal pcv valve. Needs atleast 2.5 to 3in exhaust. If you can get a rx7 vaf and tune it with a wideband sensor probably 460 to 550cc high impedance injectors

He needs to tune his vaf with a wideband. Also needs to upgrade plugs to one step colder. Up his timing to 11 degrees

Next question. Is he trying to up the boost? That big of a turbo might do some damage on that engine. Might be part of the Zoom Zoom boom club real fast.

The ecu is a problem. Its throwing too much advance in the timing for turbo. He absolutely needs a wideband to monitor his a/fs

he tried the step colder plugs it didint work and he has 2.5 exhaust already and he knows the bolt is like that and if he leave the black box on he don't lose 5 foot pounds of tourque. and he is buying the mega squirt plug and play so he dont need the rx7 vaf

You only lose 5 ft/lbs of torque N/A

I'm pretty sure 45 is what a stock escort should be running. He should be running them lower

A wideband is an acurate way of reading your air fuel mixture. Narrowband is what you see in cars without turbos that just want guages and you just clip the 02 wire and it gives you a narrowband reading. Narrowband is so un acurate. I was told you are supposed to tune your vaf for 14-14.5 at idle and 11-12 at wot and something else for cruising. Its a lot easier with a standalone ecu but can be done with a vaf.

Just get that RX7 twin turbo fuel pump and get some ngk v power plugs and gap them to .028-.032 and check your timing and that should get rid of some of your problems.
