I am the original owner of a 93 Escort GT 5 speed that has had a stalling problem since about 1994. I have been living with it for a long time and have not been able to get any help from Ford or any one. It happens when I am decelerating and the rpm goes bellow 2000 and I push the clutch in. It is very sporadic, it might do it twice in a day then not happen again for a couple of weeks. It sounds like a relay or or a circuit trips when it happens. I can let the clutch out or turn the key and it restarts with no problem. Also I am about to replace the water pump, does any one have any thing to add that the Ford shop manual does not say to do?
Thanks.
Thanks.
