Head gasket????

    Had a blown head once..gasket fine and head and block fine...the real problem was a cracked water jacket into #3 intake port.

    On the plus side...I had overheated the engine 3 times and froze it solid once (I failed to test anifreeze after a summer of just adding water to a leaking rad). One tough engine!

      adding to the re-using headbolts thing, you CAN do it, its not advised but i have done more than one HG replacement with original bolts and both were 100% ok. but yes, definitely get the head checked while its off if you do plan to use the same one.

        From what I remember, if I can remember correctly, my 91 GT head got magnafluxed somehow. I may not be remembering right, that was 10-11 years ago.
