wednesday night fun drag results... EGT motor on boost

so they told me i couldnt run through the water anymore to get a good 2nd gear burn out so traction was a bit worse than 2 weeks ago...but on the plus side im finally learning how to control my car enough for consistency.

nice numbers! why wouldn't they let you run through the water anymore? You're running slicks, right?

with those 60 foots, i'm gonna say drag radials. with slicks, even a few quick dry spins will give you a better 60'. his are fairly consistent, so he has good tires, but he could do a lot better wit slicks.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

No need to go thru waterbox on street radials. Drag radials and slicks yes but a big smokey burnout is counterproductive on street tires. Dust em off enough to clean any grit and crap from the parking lot then go for it. That and a FWD drags alot of water on the track driving thru the waterbox. At out local 1/8 you have to back into the waterbox so FWD guys just use the hose and burn to the staging area. Sounds like a stout little setup. My 5.0 coupe ran those numbers with a cam, intake and drag radials and it was a TON of fun, bet yours is a fun little street car!!!
