THANKS FE3-323! UPDATE!!!! I got the rear floor cross member and lateral links all painted up, I just need to press in the new bushings. By the way I forgot to mention that I ordered the front crossmember to subframe insulators from this guy--->http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=321119195791 they are an exact fit. Anyways I have half of the underbody painted with Rustoleum Undercoat--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEz4XMw261E . I will finish that when I get the rear end done and flip the car around. I cleaned up the gas tank and discovered that I need new hoses. I did run into a little snag; I have a dropped shifter . I will deal with that when I get to the front end. I did forget to take pics my apologies, I promise I will get them up tomorrow after work. In the meantime stay healthy everybody.

i preferr to run screws through the shifter outer & part way into the inner as a way to hold it up. that and filling it afterwords with polyurethane from a caulk gun seems to work out as a permanent fix

THANKS GUYS! gas tank is installed, the strap bolts are M10-1.25, the rear floor crossmember is installed and those bolts are M10-1.25 x 30mm with a lock and flat washer. I was surprised to find that these bolts are grade 8.8 . I ordered some grade 10.9's from the internet but in the meantime I installed yellow zinc 8.8's from the hardware store. Through this whole restoration project I have learned that the suspension bolts are very uncommon. No one carries extra fine bolts in a high grade or flanged. I have had to special order almost all of them. At this point I am going to tackle the dreaded lateral links to spindle bolt. Wish me luck

I ran into a little snag with the Addco #2065 "rear performance" sway bar kit . The supplied brackets do not have the correct geometry and the supplied poly bushings are too big to fit in the oem brackets . I did find that the new Addco bar fit in the oem bracket with oem bushings. I decided to grind down the poly bushings and use the oem brackets. They turned out perfect and only took a few minutes to fit. Now the rear lateral link to spindle bolt ...well I am at a complete loss at what to do. I tried soaking it in PB for a few days, I tried using CRC Freeze off, I tried using my press and ruined the adjustable link in the process, and I tried torching it with Mapp. Although I am pretty sure Mapp isn't hot enough, nevertheless I went through a whole bottle. I tried hammering it, I tried using a combination of impact gun and one of the above, I tried good ol' fashioned vise and breaker bar (I am 6'1" 290 lbs) and I tried praying. I don't know what to do, I REALLY want to get new bushings in there :\ Click image for larger version

when i went to do mine i went through the same process . then copped out and bought a set of spindles with no bolts lol .. something i was about to try though was to grind the head of the bolt off and use a large nut as a spacer ( or several washers ) and try drawing the bolt out through the threaded side .. you might get lucky

I had the same issue with my Addco bar, used a dremel to shape the bushings to fit in the OE brackets, worked like a charm

I can source spindles. You need disk or drum? I actually have a full rear disk setup, and the energy suspension bushings to fit the ttl's as well as a spare adjustable ttl, if you want it all.
