    Will a 93 Escort LX 1.9L work in a 1995 Escort LX?

I need a good running engine to swap into my 95LX, and I found a 93LX on craigslist for the right price. It has a running motor and its auto trans is messing up. Will the 93LX 1.9L work in my 95LX without issue? I know the bolt pattern and mounts are the same but what about sensors and things of that nature? Did much change between 93 and 95?

Hey man, I have a 96 with a 95 motor in it and it works pretty good. Only thing different I have noticed on mine was the throttle body and the tps. And the plugs on the sensors even though they are the same sensors. But since they are both OBD1 vehicles I would say they would be fine. Since mine is OBD2 with an OBD1 engine with no problems except when a sensor goes out.

I think maybe a handful of sensors are different but you'd be able to swap yours over.

also IIRC some years were EGR and some weren't?

but yeah 1.9s are pretty universal so you should be golden.
