    Silicon Coolant Hoses

Not for a moment do I think any manuf. makes these for the EGT in the year 2014.

    BUT -
Is there anything we can use? I would love some nice blue coolant hoses

I've seen blue coolant hoses for BG's

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Dont say that to fast my friend ...

I am currently in the works having silicone hoses made by Samco for the BG series cars .. more specifically 323/Protege/ , BG GTX/GTR's .

I am not 100% if the BG radhoses are the same for the EGT ...are they ?

They are just in the tooling stages and I hope to have the first proto type set sent to me for fitment testing .

Once we have a 100% good fitment test, there will be a group buy from Samco... with multiply colour options.

I will be doing a group buy campaign through multiple social media and car forums to get the word out .. we have to have a minimum of 20 sets for Samco to go into full production.

So stay tuned ... its coming

The EGT lower rad hose is different on the radiator side. The outlet comes straight out of the side, as opposed to at an angle like the Mazda rad.

            Hmmm .. bummer ..

Well will have to see what the final product comes out as ... maybe able to mod the lower hose from the Silicone one.

There is a Escort GT club member near me ... I will go see his car to see what it will be like when I get the first sample.

Eh the escort rad is ugly as sin and the full metal replacement radiator everyone clamors about is off the Protege design so really anyone interested in either looks or performance would have the ATX or full aluminum protege radiator anyway.

After looking at this all aluminum protege radiator, I think I may be able to use this instead of the civic half radiator I was planning for my project.

^^^agreed. The EGT rad also has a dumb angled filler neck.

So it sounds like a set for a protege/323 will work for me then?

I will wait for the GB though! Do you ship to Cascadia?

                            . Cascadia ? ...

The plan for the group buy will be through one of the USA based Samco distributors.

At least this way shipping will be at a lower cost for USA based customers... International buyers I
Am unsure of the shipping expense. As this will be handled by the distributor ...

I will not have any involvement in the processing of orders and shipping , just getting the product developed with Samco then get the group buy info out there to everyone interested in buying silicone hoses versus the normal rubber ones on the market .

it would be cool to have an idea of a price for a Protege 1.8BP kit. Is this expected to be built with the Auto transmission(radiator) specs?

Looking at their pricing list. I'm figuring around $130 USD hopefully....?

EDIT: i noticed their only in the 'tooling' stages, and the interest is there to produce. Just seeing as there is an interest for the consumer
