1.8 BPT Motor
Hay guys, my new engine overheated and was damaged so I am looking for a GTX or GTR complete motor assembly. I don't need the AWD trans though. LMK if anyone has a spare. Thanks.

just get a regular bp and do pistons and rods, it'll be cheaper than buying a bpt and probably more reliable at this pointsigpic

I just went through that, must have had a bad block as it was eating coolant and overheating was a problem. Got too hot and lost compression. Took the head off as I figured that was the problem, had it pressure tested, it passed and they milled it .022 as they said it was not flat. Put it back on with a new head gasket still no compression...Comment

did you make sure the deck was square before putting the new head on? did you use new head bolts / studs?
like, there's a lot i'd do before spending like $2500 on a bpt...sigpic
