There's a good deal of MX-3's at yards in STL. I have a stock MX-3 radio AND accessory CD player(I think I have 2 of these) in my room. I'd suggest looking for a '98+ Mazda radio/cd player single DIN like I have in both of my cars. Sounds a lot better IMO.

If you want to take a road trip up here you're more than welcome to.

I'll be using an aftermarket cd player.

I took a trip up to my yard today...it had been awhile since I've been there. My god that place is a **** hole now. They used to have a seperate section for all the Mazda's, but now they mixed in all of the imports together. So I had to sift through Nissan's, Honda's, Subaru's, Saab's, Kia's, and other random crap to find out that there were a few DX 1st gen's and no MX3's - lol. MX3's are rare in that yard anyhow, I was hoping Id get lucky. On top of that all the cars were pretty much picked through and destroyed. I did manage to find a glass sunroof (which doesn't fit the MX3, so I guess I'll be selling that) and I nabbed an EGT foglight switch and a new dimmer switch for the MX3.

      I need:
      Window Switch
      Ash Tray
      Rear Deck
      Cig Lighter (the whole assembly)
And I think part of the radio bezel is missing, but Im not sure.

I decided to install the H&R's tonight. Long story short, I ended up having to jack the ZX2's and Sprints from the Protege. I mis-threaded the top nut on one of the struts and striped the **** out of it when I hit it with the impact wrench. Various obcenities later, I had no choice but to rob the struts from the Protege. I didn't feel like removing four more springs, so I just left the Sprint's on the struts and swapped over the whole assembly. The poor Protege is now missing one strut assembly . I'll just pick up a second set of ZX2's. I also threw the 16's on the MX3 seeing as they have brand new one year old tires on them, lol. I need to invest in another set of jackstands and another floor jack...sheesh.

I just drilled a couple of holes on my trunk, sandblasted the hell outa it. Then rubber-undercoated the hell outa the entire trunk area. Figure if its gonna leak, might as well stop the rust.

Awesome score! Just don't get too involved with the Mx-3 to give up on the Protege. I remember Gro did that a few years back

Yeah I know, I already feel bad for the Protege. She is in a million pieces.
