I didn't want the whole EGT subframe... rather keep my MX-3 subframe, so the rumour goes that it has a wider stance.

The metal object to the left is half of my G-tranny... with a timing belt on it. I'm putting an LSD in it, so it got taken apart and polished.
I traded out with the mx3, I should of stated that.

        UGLINESS versus Sorta Prettiness...

I think I'm gonna invest in some of that POR-15 stuff... I remember now that I've heard about it before.

how did you fit the oil relocator on, did you cut the bolt thing short that the oil filter normally goes on?

used a shorter one from a B6 that has no oil cooler

Thanks Lex for answering that for me.

Today I spent the day working on taking apart the transmission and playing with the LSD.

In the morning I took apart the rest of the transmission... it's like 2 nuts and 4 bolts and it's all out. It looks harder than it is. Played with getting the LSD's bearing and speedo gear on... and cleaned the rest of the housing.

              Dirty vs. Clean

Monday evening events will be polishing up the housing, fixing the LSD, and cutting away the portion of the housing that hits the raised numbers cast into the LSD (STUPID ENGINEERS!)... hopefully by Saturday I'll have it ready to put back together.

Got a little carried away polishing...

Had to grind, a few places for the LSD... stupid weld on the pin, hit one of the fins.

Same as any other G-tranny... 2.9qts or 2.7L.

                      Why?

Looking good man. Also about the mx-3 being wider, its only with the GS model unless you take some measurements, those escort gt TTLs and your mx-3s.

Tranny is lookin great tho man, this car should be more reliable than a 2008! lol
