no it is its just that plate that hold the thing that holds the shifter dropped out od the plate

the purble sleeve is supposed to be pressed into the hole where the old shifter was

when i lift it up the shifter goes all the way in

theres a guy on mx3.com that sells a bracket to fix the shifter from falling out, for the most part a piece of rubber holds the shifter up, and they break easily
the brackets like $15 or something, if he still makes them, if not its not that hard to make a bracket yourself
