i'll have to revisit how i want to make them mount. those who are boosted will have to modify charge piping in order to clear the tow hooks/mounting points. (obviously i'll do what i can to tuck it up for clearance)
there were some plasma cut tow hooks made up. but they far exceed the length needed. the challenging point is retaining some way of mounting a tow hook connection.
lots of ideas to jumble through my head. the BG chassis is far more difficult to build a bar for then the MX3.

but yes. it would be strong enough to tie the front transmission mount to . given it would be further forward then the existing system. Depending on your needs we could work something out.

I do not have a set price yet.
but as stated there will be 7 BG bars only. and 3 more mx3 bars. i won't make anymore then that.

No- this ties together the front end quite a bit. it would serve a purpose in auto-x as well as drag racing or any other track event.

I was actually going to do something like this just for a Motor mount solution when i follow through with the swap I want. I had no idea this thread existed until just now, so itll kill two bird with one stone! I talked to a machinist friend of mine and we came up with a few ideas, but nothing solid or on paper/file so I dont really have anything to share, but would lend you my ideas if you think they might help. Im not worried at all about a tow hook in that location, as I will be mounting one through my 3-hole bumper. Back to the motor mount, Itll be an "after thought" as far as thats concerned, something I would have to do in my garage, unless you have a 3S swapped BG to test fit on....

i do not have a 3s swap to test fit... that actually creates a mild issue. do you own/have access to a welder???

I do have a welder, but its just a gasless wire feed that Id use to tack something up. My machinist buddy is also a Fabricator, id have him make sure the finish welding was done right.Ill just keep it simple and put my name on the list for a Traction bar and nothing fancy, lol. Ill do my work after the fact.

well. if you wanted to have your buddy do the welding i could very easily tack in the drivers side brackets & leave the passenger side to your discretion as clearance will most certainly be different with a 3S (how i can't really foretell)

From what Im seeing in pictures of AWD E153 Trans there shouldnt be any clearance issues, and Id rather not mess with the alignment point when it comes to the LCAs centerline, since you have that part figured out already, ill roll with that youve got.

passenger side would be the engine's oil pan side. which you would have to adjust the bar location to accommodate according to your 3S needs.
                  follow?

Sometimes i need to read things closer before saying anything. It looks like it might hit, part of me thinks no after scouring the web for block lengths. If anything i could smidge the mounting tab that I would be welding onto Jims arm for whatever clearance I might need, which would be a minimal amount if any at all. The oil pan on the 3s seems to differ between generations, im sure I could make something work. Ill take a traction bar is it were in the first place. (Haha, see if I end up putting my foot in my mouth)
