Cheers guys. The 0-60 surprised me, probably not entirely accurate but does feel in the 6 second bracket

Some pics of the snail in his new house:

Intercooler piping needs tidied, a few temporary measures in place!

Thanks! I've now redone my intercooler piping into just two simple pipes all TIGd together :D Photos will follow when I actually get an hour without rain.

Cheers! I've only 800grit wetsanded, may polish, may powdercoat. It's all nice 'n' light alloy TIGd together. Battling with a crap idle control valve at the moment. It works for a while then seemingly randomly stops working, idle shoots to 1700 and then next time I get in the car it works again. Maybe doesn't like my megasquirt settings. May just block off the valve.

              Intercooler piping (re)done!

              One piece :D

I'm jealous of your fabrication skills! Nice job of the ic pipes, I had the same idle issue before and couldn't fix it.

Ahh the rubber strips were the gift of a previous owner! I removed one today, takes about an hour arghhhhh. Car wants a respray. Thanks! Skirts seriously transform the car.

Cheers Jack yea haha probably should. I gotta sort out a stuck lifter first. Going to do timing belt and water pump whilst I'm at it.

                              Yesterday I replaced:
Timing belt and pulleys and spring
                              Cam seals
                              Crank seal
                              Water pump
Also stripped and cleaned 8x intake hla

It was all a pleasure to replace! Very easy on this engine

It still didn't cure my HLA tick but that's because that turned out to be an exhaust gasket!

There's still a bearing sounds a bit whiney, maybe alternator.

Pull the alt belt and see if it still has the whine to it, it'll run on battery power, but I suggest not to let it run long lol
