well i bought a house a few months ago and since i now have a garage to play in i Sold the blue probe!!!! but i did it on purpose the mpg was killing me and the traffic stops kinda suck too, but i kept my backwards installed rims n tires.... since i replaced it with a 97 Probe 4cyl auto trans 132k had a twice fried over auto trans in it.... had reverse and 2 forward gears 2nd and over drive so you had to start off in second tach rev and hit over drive, as long as you never had to come below 90k it would be fine drove it home 7 miles that way. started the auto to manual swap about a month ago, sadly im STILL not done...... im trying to do the swap as if it never had a auto trans in it ever. so when this one gets sold i can get premium dollar... so i changed wiring harness, computer everything that was auto related has come off....
so far installed is trans, drivers cv axle, pass jackshaft, all the mounts and cross-members, shifter, pedals, wiring, computer, interior is all reassembled from tear down,

trans and all the externals came from a 95 mx6 with 78K, clutch and flywheel came from a 2003 protege5 with 21k wiring and comp came from a 97 626 with over 400K LOL
my list to pick up still to finish the job

          1. passenger cv axle (one i got from the jy had split boot, new boot cost more than a used cv axle at another yard)
          2. Distributor --- i need the cap in coil one mine has the external coil so of course wiring doesn't match
          3. the whole air box again auto to manual aren't even close to design or plugs
          4. small chunk of wiring for the engine harness to body harness plug is too short same plug but its about 4 inches to short so i have to make a 6" adapter from my old auto harness and a chunk off the parts car to close that gap and look OEM
          5. upper o2 sensor manual trans has a 3 wire up top and 4 wire below auto trans has 2 4 wire o2 sensors (i have a 3 wire but again want oem look and the stupid plug is backwards on my 3 wire)
          6. both slave and master for the clutch ones i have for the life of me WILL NOT pump up solid i can push the pedal to the floor, release and it stays half down but can go push the slave in and return the pedal to its correct placement.. I've gone thru 2 bottles of fluid trying to get it solid. even tried a vacuum pump bleeder and nothing changes from what its at now..

but everything else is installed ready for a few stupid little parts.

nice score! I would have loved to picked up my 626 in a 4cyl manual myself, better mpg and easier to work on in my mind...KLs can be a headache at times.
