well I guess stress finally caught up with me (thought it had already lol) so I've been down for the count today with some nasty stomach issues.

I did get the inner and outer tie rods today tho thanks to my dad for picking them up! Hopefully if I feel better tomorrow they can go on the car then and head out for an alignment when she's ready.

Well after 10 minutes, I'm proud to say the 626 has (once again) new inner and outer tie rods on the left side (both had less than 5K on them, so didn't bother doing the right side, no issues with it at all). So now she's ready for an alignment, but since it's Friday, I'm giving myself the weekend to finish off the rear brakes, and the small misc crap that's left on the list.

Mainly have to figure out how to wire in cruise control and my reverse lights after doing the MTX conversion. I read I had to jump 2 wires to allow the car to start too which I LOL'd at considering mine started without any issues after I JB welded the ignition lock open (ATX controlled). So if anyone has any insight *cough cough* pat *cough cough* would be greatly appreciated lol.

I think I've figured out reverse, but nothing for cruise control. Button on the dash even stays illuminated while I'm driving, just can't activate the unit and it's controls...annoying! lol

Progress today! yay! haha...got the rear brakes all pulled apart, cleaned up, painted and re-installed with the new rotors/pads. Had some issues with the LR parking mechanism, but I managed to get it free...but wasn't happy leaving it as is. So a bit of mechanics wire, a drill, and a nice compression spring and voila! ebrake mod done to the 626!

I had taken pictures, but my dads camera didn't take a single one out of the 12 I took! I couldn't believe it lol...so pissed at that!

Also changed the trans fluid as it just had some misc atx fluids in there from when I did the swap lol...so she's running "premium ATF" now for a few 100 miles, then I'll switch out to Synchromesh or something equivalent.

Damn car still runs like it's god some lumpy cams in there though...really annoying! I'll be checking codes tomorrow as the CEL finally lite up tonight.

yes it will work... but if u have the option try a 95-96 millenia with the 2.5... grab the plug too.. its a 110 amp alt..

ya no Millenias there unfortunately, there's a 94 Probe and a 99 626 lol, may rob the intake manifold off it still since I have to re-do BOTH my valve cover gaskets!

any suggestion to a decent quality valve and disty o ring gasket guys? Mine's leaking after about 20k

I just changed my rear VCG last month. I bit the bullet ($50!) and bought a factory gasket from Mazda. Honestly though, it didn't look or feel any different than the Napa gaskets I've used in the past for BPs. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have to **** with it again for another 90,000 miles, lol. I definitely recommend changing all the idle and heater coolant lines while you're in there too.

well no real updates here, got the car back to London (300km drive) and now the idle is beyond acceptable (1800 cold, 1200warm and will fluctuate between that and 600...lame!

So I ordered new IAC coolant lines from mazda and I'm currently working on pulling an ECU/harness/VAF from a 95 MTX MX6 so I can clean up the wiring and grab some used o2 sensors to see if my problem lies there.

Sciatic nerve has been bothering me since I had to turn the last wrench on the Protege, so I won't be doing any work real soon. I have picked up a few misc things tho.
