ya I know eh? lol, it lasted me a while with me using the "hold" option every day though haha.

Sciatic nerve is letting up, so I got the car on my newly purchased ramps and changed out the front 12mm shifter bushing set with some bronze ones I had made up for the Protege a while back, but since the Protege had ballbearings in the shifter...these were spares Bushings went in super easy after I used a long bolt to press them into the linkage, if I cleaned it out a bit better they probably would have slide right in, but oh well lol

Huge difference tho, shifter slop has been cut in 1/2, going from an embarrassing 4-5" of play to roughly 1.5".

Next is to pull the shifter out to compare it to my DIY short shifter I made for the BG chassis, I know they'll fit, but if there's no change in the fulcrum it's pointless to change out asides the tiny ballbearings I pressed into it for an experiment I was trying to do...worked out lol.

well ****, went and pulled a harness from a 95 MXT MX6...everything's going fine, then when it comes to ECU and interior loom I noticed in the glove box the car was having the exact same issues as my 626, etests galore and only had 5K put on it since they were taken...so I just threw the harness into the car and left lol.

Grabbed the EGR solenoids, front o2 (rears are a pain to get at, will lengthen it after I swap it out with my front to verify it works), and plug wire distributor boots, as all my fancy Kingsborne wires are cracked.

well replaced all my distributor boots and installed the IAC coolant lines

everything went fine' other than I think my upper rad cap isnt sealing...could have been residual steam from bleeding the system...so I'm just going to replace them both to be safe.

I was really hoping to see the last air bubble, and hear the last miss fire stop at the same time, but no such luck lol.

            WOW, just WOW.

So I must have a bad ground or a break in the wire on the harness, damn thing wont run longer than 15 seconds!

Check codes, getting them for all the rear bank and right side sensors. VRIS x 2, coolant temp, crank sensor, and rear o2 sensor!!! WTF!!!!

Checked all the grounds and connections and they seem solid, but today I get to explore the sensors with a multimeter to see if everything is ok or not.

Has anyone heard of this issue before? The car is running in "batch" mode for the injectors, and not sequential, so it's running like a bag of ****. (well always had a bad idle, just recently found out it's potentially called "batch mode" meaning fuel injector firing frenzy lol

limp mode .. i was having the same issue with the bp . was no "g" signal from disty but that was the only cel at the time . sounds like a bad ground/harness issue for sure

yea, just wish I knew where to start! going to unbolt the two main grounds I have hooked up over the trans (for the ECU function) and clamp a set of jumper cables on them then ground off the other end of the cables to the strut towers...see if that changes anything.

I know I had 1 of the 2 2pin ground wires not hooked up after the MTX swap as it was hidden under the distributor, but is now hooked up to the trans mount.

I know I shouldn't be getting around .5v at the ground wire as per MX6.com.

Also my cooling fans are on continuously now. I thought it was the TPS, but when I key to the "on" position the fans are off, and when I move the TPS they will kick on...so the TPS seems to be ok. But I will check to make sure it's around .6-.7V when closed as that's the KL "sweet spot" apparently.

Going to check those grounds, and make sure my HEI module doesn't have a loose connection...

any other suggestions/hints would be great lol.

well tested all the grounds in ohms, and they're all coming back at .2 which is good as per the internets.

not getting 12v to the bk/r wire at the rear harness, and idk where the 12v supply is either...

now Idk wtf to do lol

well found out that the BK/R is supplied off the ECU on the 3rd connector plug. So I checked that out with key on, and it's almost 12V!

So since there's 12v there, but not at the rear bank, there must be a break right? I'm going to check out the rest of the sensors that rely on that 12v source to see if I can find a possible break. I'm using the FSM wiring diagrams which are helping a lot

is that inside the fender Graham??

And yes, there was a few rodents that lived in the car before I got ownership of it back in 07? it had nests in the air box and the blower motor lol.

Well I found a melted spot on the main harness that runs around the back of the engine that's bolted to the firewall...so I pulled the complete harness out of the car now and while I was crouched down checking the burn section my sciatic nerve kicked in and put me on my ass again lol.

Soo I'm left with a car that not only doesn't run properly, but has the complete harness pulled now oh joys lol

I'm guessing it was a bad connection somewhere which caused the harness to heat up in that section, as it was near NOTHING that could have melted it, it was right before the firewall bracket (which is why I had to pull the harness, can't get much access there with it installed lol)

EDIT: melted harness shows no bare wires or source of the heat...hmm
