I just really hate the stock protege seats, and those seats look like they would be a better option lol..

Kind of a smal update, the car is doing great so far, no major issues. I still have yet to replace the rear endlinks and the front pads/rotors (current cheap pads are noisy as hell!).

I did buy a grill for it off Pat though.

Then I took his advise on removing the trim piece above the grill (attached to the hood)

I think it's coming around lol...buying parts for the BG though, so I won't be picking up anything for the 626 until winter is over...no point on modifying it now. I will do a drop spring with KYBs and a rear strut brace, along with an exhaust system...and obviously the wheels are going to get changed lol.

                  Thanks dude!

My gay blue light bulbs showed up today in hopes to remove some of the nasty yellow from my running lights...and well it worked haha. Matches my headlight bulbs now and I can sleep peacefully knowing this haha

                  JDM BULBS YO

Passengers outer running light changed! Quite the difference from left to right...

And here's both outer bulbs replaced with the headlights and the inner running lights on! I'm going to leave the inner running lights alone, I like that colour difference since the MX6 has built in fog lights there VS running lights on the 626...so it doesn't look out of place. Looks kinda European or something fancy...idk...phone doesn't take the best pics of light tho so it looks flooded, but you get the idea lol

Well the clutch slipped yesterday lol wasn't too impressed by that as I don't drive the car hard at all haha. So she'll need a clutch job after the snow's gone (hopefully lasts that long lol), so I'll be getting a flywheel from Rockauto and a clutch from eBay...I'll stick to a full face friction disk but it'll hold more power lol.

Since the Protege won't be around much longer, money from that will go towards new KYB struts/mounts/bump stops and the BGs coilover sleeve setup with TechnoToyTuning conical perches for the front...will also be hopefully sourcing out a GT rear sway bar, along with a revision on the intake system, exhaust manifold back, a bit of rust repair and some BBS meshies

If it just slipped for the first time. It could last over a year as long as your nice to it. Just realize the more you abuse it, the shorter it will last.

And dont bother with the mx6/626gt sway bar. Find a PGT bar, there 2-4mm larger then any mazda had, and still a direct bolt on. Id offer you one, But sold my last one last week to a kid on mx6.com for $30 bux.

Also, Why do you plan on replacing the flywheel? Just have your current one turned. Will be the exact same thing and alot cheaper. And there's tons of places that do it, Even Oreillys Auto Parts does it.

It's $75 to have it machined locally, and $90 shipped from Rockauto...so for an extra $15 I'd rather save having to have someone drive me to/from the shop and hope they have it done in time haha. I like having everything ready lol.

Any idea what size an 89 626 GT would have for a rear bar though? I think it'd be larger than the current one...at least I hope haha. I could also get an Addco 7/8" bar but that's a bit overkill since the front bar on the car doesn't seem much larger than 19mm lol

There has got to be a cheaper resurfacing alternative. I also reccomend shaving off the back ring mass of extra crap. It definitely helps in the long run. I wish you were closer id help out

I agree. $50 is the highest price ive ever heard. And generally its $25 to have done.

The different rear sways are the 14mm you have currently. The mx6/626gt one which is a 16mm, and then the PGT bar which is 18mm. To give you an idea of the increase, thats 14mm to 16mm = 70% increase, The 16mm to 18mm = 60%, and the 14mm to 18mm = 173%

Id say screw all that ****, and go Addco, but good luck there. No one can order them, and people have been on such the hunt, ive sold both of my spares off at quite a profit in the last month. Thats actually how i sold the PGT bar also, I had another guy wanting an Addco off me, but only had the one on my own car left which i wasnt coming off of, So sold him my old stock PGT bar instead.

I can source it out from work probably lol, but I'm trying to be frugal with this car...can't dip too hard into the other cars funds haha.

I've also decided I'm going to run GE front struts as they're 1" shorter in strut shaft length, and about 1/3" shorter in the body...so that'll work out well when I drop the car about 2.25" all around haha. Read Gavins install on MX6.com and it swaps right in, I can use the GD mounts, just need the T3 coilover bearings and BAM.

Sold some stuff today tho from the BG so I can stash away a bit of $$ for the 626s suspension overhaul haha.

Also decided on the exhaust, Flowmaster high flow cat converter, using my 2.5" U/J bend, and will be going with a Flowmaster muffler from my sisters MiniS and probably a Magnaflow resonator lol...Flowmaster doesn't really make resonators haha. Should sound good since the F2 was based on the diesel platform
