possible mini meet at my next race?

Hey everyone!

Just want to let everyone know that I'm racing at Madison International Speedway on Saturday the 28th of this month! I know there are a few members in the madison area, and thought maybe you guys would be interested in coming and watch. Maybe even make it a mini meet? (I wouldn't be able to join you guys though, as I have to much stuff to do in the pits before the race. Maybe you guys could come into the pits after the race and say hi. The series really needs spectators to come and see the race, or it might be its last year. The tracks almost always has something decent to eat, and its fun to watch. And we might even have a double o race afterwards. Its 300 laps long, with a break at lap 150. The race starts at 7:00pm. Not sure on ticket price, but it is never more than $10, and some times they give them away. I will be doing my best to win this race, as it will be my last season of racing for a year or two, and I really want to win one before I stop. We will be running on the 1/4 mile track.

So if you guys have time, please come and watch!!!

I just might be able to make the trip up.. would they allow a boosted escort out there? lol JK i would never run a this shell out there.. well maybe if the payout was good enough..

I wish they'd allow boosted cars. But they outlawed them a couple years ago. I was actually thinking about running a volkswagen Corrado with the factory superchager, but then the rules changed. It would have been wicked fast.

Well, i have my race car almost ready! All it needs now is to be washed and fueled up! And maybe I will adjust the timing, too.

Oh, and they changed from a 300 lap enduro with a break at lap 150 to a 200 lap nonstop enduro, so that there is more time for the destruction races.

A 200 lap four cylinder enduro, destruction events, and fireworks. Admission is $10 per car load!!! The action gets going at 7:00 PM.

it was a very destructive race. Lots of pushing, shoving, spinning out, and crashing. I might have cooked my motor towards the end, as my radiator broke on the top, causing some of the fluid to leak out. But I didn't know it happened, and kept racing like that for a while. I think i noticed the car getting slower, but I'm not sure. I'm going to have to do a compression test to check the cylinders. Also, I ran out of brakes with 50 laps to go, and had to take it easy for the rest of the race. Also, my front sway bar broke early in the race, causing the car to lean alot, making the car handle bad. I still finished 18th out of 40 or 50 cars, though. So I'm not that dissapointed.

here's a picture of protegemartin's broken bar. Mine broke in the same place, but mine broke the end completly off, not just cracked it.
