How About A Picnic?

Do you guys want another picnic? i am thinking of doing one away from broward county. that is to also make it a short road trip - no more than an hour away. since most of us are in broward and that is where we hold all our meets i was thinking of doing it somewhere else for a change. a few locations are south miami-dade, north palm beach or my preference on the west coast around naples. i also have a lot of mazda stuff that i want to pass out.

i am thinking maybe late october or early november - before the holiday season starts. preferably saturday so that we can make it an all day event.

post the dates when you are available for a whole day preferably.

and if you know of any cool parks, places, things? where we can hold our picnic around the places that i mentioned, post them here so we can make a decision.

i was goin to start a new thread on this, but i hate starting threads n it seemed relevant to this one soooo..... one of my friends who is a DJ/event coordinator is thinking of throwing a park party with a couple of different car clubs and asked if our club would want to be part of it. he hasnt given me any specifics on it yet, but he is waiting to hear from me as to whether we would be interested or not. it would be outdoors and since the party is goin to be advertised it would help spread our club name. i need some feedback on this soon so he can get started on plannin, flyers, etc..

i guess we can do that. but i was thinking more along the lines of a picnic just for us so we can chill and relax. i don't really care about other car clubs and last time we had one where everybody showed up it has been too crazy and too much.

when is he planning this? what does everybody else think?

i would be down for a picnic, prefer a saturday though cause 1)sundays I work from 5-11 everytime, an 2)It is football season so before work i am watching football. so i would like to do a saturday, and would love if this happens b/c I can never get off friday nights to meet up with you guys...but please give me a good advance notice so i can try to get off of work on a saturday

goin north would be a nice change. its probably gonna be hard to find a place with shade though considerin most of the trees have been blown over. j/k. as for the park party.... he hasnt started plannin everything yet cause he wanted some feedback as to whether we would make a showing or not. if not alot of ppl are interested thast coo, but i need to noe so i can tell my friend. i dont care where we hang out as long as we get together n have a good time.

eric, keep us updated on what your friend is planning. that is something we can do depending on how many people are interested.

i am leaning towards having the picnic around naples, we have never really gone that way. but we can hold it in palm beach too since we have a few people there. tony and buddy bobby, see if you guys can find a nice park or place where we can chill. then report back to me

at the next official meet i will ask everyone what they think and maybe we'll do it the first week on november. hopefully it'll cool down a bit by then and the hurricanes should not be an issue any more.

but you guys, tony and bobby, are in charge of finding a nice place since i am not going to go up there to drive around looking for a place. you guys live there so you know more

ah, that's right. believe it or not when i was typing that i knew i was forgetting someone but i just couldn't remember the name. sorry george, you need to get your ass out to the meets, lol

make sure the place is nice and quiet (i.e. i am getting old and i don't want any trains coming through making noise) with a lot of room for the cars.
