    My dad's RX300 was stolen!

It was stolen out of the valet lot of a restaurant in Miami. It's a 2002 white Lexus RX300...he just put new tires on 2 days ago & some of his stuff was inside. Apparently, the valet guys were busy & didn't lock the key locker, so the thief must have just opened it, taken the key, & driven off. I'm sure this is a long shot, but if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. He already filed a police report, but I don't know how much good that will do.

Just so that I'm on topic, here's a pic (with my car): http://www.msprotege.com/forum/attac...chmentid=32201

I'll update with the name of the restaurant & his plate # tomorrow.

WHAT? you gotta be ****ting me. sorry to hear that. with the whole club driving around miami looking for your dad's car we can find it faster than cops would, i am sure.

post that plate #, never know when someone might actually spot it. but most likely, its either in the container now at the everglades or miami port or being sold as parts

that sucks ryan. sorry to hear that. btw, i am sure valet was IN on it

most places don't hold any responsibility for the car when you valet it. They either have a sign that states that or on your ticket that they give you it says it.

Sorry I took so long to update...my dad's car was found by the police. The car itself was fine, but they took about $2k worth of stuff from inside. As a result, we had to change the locks on the house & get a new key for the car, but everything is cool now.

The deductible for the owner of the valet is $2500, but my dad got a lawyer who does all the work for their company to take this pro bono.
