January 16 SUNDAY Picnic

Our next picnic will be held on January 16 which is a Sunday. This gives everybody more than 3 weeks to get off work or whatever.

Since there is basically no meet this friday or the next one it would have been better to have the picnic on the 9th but i am afraid that is not enough time for some of you to plan for it.

The picnic will be held eithre at Markham Park in Sunrise or at CB Smith in Pembroke Pines across the mall. Markham has a large area for cars but CB Smith has Pavilions and that new lazy river thing that i know some of you like. Markham is easy to get to for everybody so it is my pick.

Last picnic turn out was sucky, so I want to see 3 times as many people at this one. Most likely food and drinks will be bought using club's funds. There will be no BBQ unless somebody volunteers to be a cook.

Please let me know if this is a good date or not. Suggestions and ideas are welcome.

If you know of a different location/park that will suit us, give me a call.

spread the word to other members when you guys talk to them. i just realized i will probably be late since 17 is MLK day and that means i am off from my dad's job on the 16th. this will be a perfect time for me to take that motorcycle riding class. since they always have them on sunday this is basically the only day when i can take it, without having to ask my dad to let me off from work.

anyways, i'll get in touch with rich regarding food after new years.

My vote is for Markham, even though the other is a shorter distance.
