I'm happy because Dima speeds, which makes him happy. He seems to be happy only when speeding, which makes me happy. And when I'm happy people around me are able to live another day. If you are alive right now, you should thank Dima.

of course i am planning on going this year too if we go.
but i won't be organizing it this year. 3 years in a row is enough.
so we need somebody who will organize it this year.

Dima, if I were you I would give everyone your plans ahead of time. By this I mean leave date, hotel #, any sidetrips ( DRAGON ), and let us do the best we can to make the same arrangements. It will give everyone an appreciation for the trouble you have gone through in the past.
I still have the info on that place we stayed in near Bryson City.

well, the person organizing it must be going on the trip(obviously) and must be interested in this and willing to spend time on this. in order to find a leave date, he must ask every single club member whether they will be going or not and when they can leave. if people want to go on thursday to go to NC and the organizer doesn't want to or can't, they they can not be in charge of the trip.
that person must also monitor nopi website to find out when registration opens. then he must get in touch with the representative to have our club added to the list. the person must research the parking area at the show and notify everyone which section to register for. the person has to keep checking back with the website to stay on top of how many free spots are left and notify the members.
the person must choose a hotel preferably as cheap as possible and as close as possible to the track and dragon. this involves calling hotel company group sales, visiting aaa (they can get good deals on rooms) and calling hotel itself and reserve enough rooms for everyone. the person must check periodically to make sure the rooms were not canceled or given away to somebody else. the person must make arangements with the hotel to have club cars washed on property.
obviously the person must know the road, for example how to get to the dragon or anywhere else.
this person is also responsible for setting ground/road rules and be able to lead everybody as well as say what goes when and where.
the person must let everybody know what to bring and in case with canopies, must designate people who will bring canopies, chairs, coolers, emergency kits/tools.
btw, its a good thing that you save the contact number to that place we stayed at. i keep wanting to ask you whether you have it and forget.
but personally i would recommend that we stay at the hotel across from that supermarket in robinsville. it is much closer to the dragon which means we could get at least another run in each direction.
the person must also be aware of what possibly other things/attractions there are to see/do in case somebody is not intersted in the show/dragon. for example, last year i contacted NC/Robinsville/Bryson City/Blue ridge parkway visitors bureau and they sent me guides/maps. i have also made a printout of all the dining places in bryson city.
anyways, i enjoy doing it but i am tired. if i run for president this year and chosen, i will do it. if i don't run, i will most likely not be planning it.
