April is coming up. Last year we held elections in april so we will do the same this year.
The March official meet is on the 25th. (My dad has asked me to help him at work that day so i am not sure what time i will be at the meet). Vlad and I will accept nominations.
Elections will be held the official meet in April which is on April 29th. I am leaning towards having people vote at the meet and if you are not there then TOO BAD, you should be there! If you cannot make it, you need to have a representative who will vote for you but that person (I THINK) cannot be a club member. It can be your significant other, friend. It cannot be Veezie, Vlad's wife
. However, I will listen to input from you guys regarding voting in April at the official meet only. But I don't want it to stretch out into August.
I have a few suggestions. We need to elect one club official who is a president and we need to get rid of vice president and treasurer as separate positions. I think the new President should choose one person who will be a treasurer as well as a back up official, vice president. Again, your input is always appreciated on this.
I belive there should be other changes in the club that i will not institute (is that a word?) but will wait for the new pres to be elected. Among changes, it should be harder to receive a sticker (become a member) since Vlad has been very lenient and generous.
Another thing the new president, who ever he is, will have to do IMHO is attract/seek out new members for the club. Due to family emergency and a new job, I have not done a good job of doing that over the past 6 months. The new pres will need to attract more Mazda3 and other mazdas.
I believe (NOBODY TOLD ME THIS BEFORE!!) that we won a trophy at craby jacks car show recently. The new president must be the one holding both trophies and should bring them to some club meets as well as shows and picnics. But the trophies must be available to anyone in the club "at a moments notice"
