Ok... so here's the lowdown. My bro has a Talon. Bought an Impala. So now he has a project car (that I use most days now to get to and from). But... like all of his cars, it's a piece of crap. What I would like to do is a complete electrical and slight mechanical restoration. Anybody got any pointers or some helpful advice? If you need pics, or info, lemme know. Need to get this piece of crap working right!

I'd say start ^^here^^ and read for a week. Then you should have answers to most questions.
Anyone here owned one, or know something about them they'd like to share?

Well how much are you willing to spend on said restoration? The problem with those DSMs that I've heard is that there is always something going wrong with them. If you like working on cars, that's cool. But it may get old after a while Maybe you could convince him to sell it and get something a little more reliable?Dan

Right now suspension is #1. It bounces like a rubber ball right now.... I priced a few sites online, and a set of tockicos are gonna run around 300 shipped.

DSM's don't break if you take care of them...I know several local dsm'mers who are in the 13s and below and their cars are reliable as ever. I owned a 91 TSI which I did a significant amount of mods to, I broke in the low 12s, and drove the car everday. Mind you I bought it when it had 123,xxx miles on it, and basically upgraded every part on the car, but it was extremely reliable, and driver friendly, minus the gas mileage and if you got into boost, then it was just fast! Theres a TON of info on dsm's....search for the DSM Faq's and VFaq's as those will answer just about any question you could possibly come up with. Im pretty knowledgable on them as well, so if you got any questions feel free to shoot them my way and Ill do my best.
For upgrades and whatknot, Im going to stick by my experience and go with http://www.buschurracing.com/ Proven as they built the engine for Mark Shepards talon which just recently broke into the 7s.Eat ****.

My cousin has an 97' Mitsubishi Eclipse and doesn't speak english. So I had to make an account to help him out on DSMtuners.com.
