    Alittle update on my SRT4

Well I have been away for awhile fooling with my other car.I must say this little neon will put out some hp..I did not by the car for the looks to say the least..I wanted a praticle compact that waa mod friendly and not too expensive. The srt4 fit the bill nicely..i still have my 96 escort gt but I have not been messing with it too much.
As far as the Neon goes i basically hit a brick wall as far as modding goes.I have all the essential bolt ons to make hp...So for a last ditch effort on getting more I decided to remove the turbo and exhaust manifold and have it fully ported by a guy on the srtforums(a583rox) his porting work is excellent .What he does is fully port the manifold and then he cryo treats it followed ceramic coating the exterior..The performance gain I got from this was mod was one of the single best hp making mods I have done besides bolting on the Mopar STG3 turbo..

    check out the pics:

This is the dyno sheet after the manifold was bolted on..I had to back my wastegate down considerably after doing this because the added effeiciency of the turbo had me spiking 32psi .The stg3 turbo is out of its efficiency range past 26psi..
Also note where I hit full spool (3000rpms) 430 ft lbs of tq at that rpm:This dyno was at 26-27 psi with 110 leaded race fuel added.

Also I purchased this car new July/05 right now it has a total of 6400 miles ..I do have cams but other than that the motor is essentially stock..I pondered pulling the head and getting it worked but since the car is trelatively new I'm reluctant to do so..Who knows maybe down the road I will but not yet.

If i recall correctly the motor was designed in and by Germans. ie its the reason it takes more power then Dodge's usual even bigger motors and still doesn't blow!
**SOLD** 93 EGT with more suspension mods then your average riced out civic's # of decals + useless "bling/style/culture" mods! **SOLD**
95 EGT New beater! And gawd damnit shes NOT pink!

I thought it was a Mitsu engine?

Over 3,200 rpm, the valves are opened to allow full airflow. The valve cover is also composite (plastic) and has a variety of vibration-reducing seals." <-- VICS/VTEC kind of dealy going on here including using the turbo so maybe removing VICS isn't so bad when going turbo?!
