Yeah, none of that. LOL, It's the principal. True street cars run as they come.

Thanks Matt! I built the exhaust on it last fall. Turned out nice, dual 2.5" stainless with an x-pipe and magnaflows. The fact that the boat anchor of a 390 builds as much power and revs as high as it does is a miracle. I don't have a tach, I just shift when it feels right, so I'm not sure exactly what I'm revving to... My dad built the motor about 5 years ago when the car was my Grandpa's, and he built it for bottom 14's at this altitude. Right after the exhaust I went from 14.20's to 13.70's, but I attribute part of that to actually being able to hear the car, which helps the tach-less shifting. I think today I'll install a tach finally, and possibly If I can find a hidden but accessible spot to mount it without modifying the car, a modern stereo... something with an aux port so I can listen to something other than AM radio.Current:

burned out the old subframe bushings, hammered in the new risers, installed the RUCAs and toe rods, and ruined two of the eccentric bolts so now I need to order some $65 SPL bull**** to put the subframe back in the car.sigpic

Got the top off the white car, and onto the red car, not a job I want to do again anytime soon. Also figured out how to make the radiator from my probe work in the miata, it's gonna be slick! I don't want to spend the money on a new radiator, and that's the only spare that I have that's even close to working. Mega tilt since its like 5" too tall, but it's gonna work nice!
Also took the Torino out and went to see furious 6, and ran it out of fuel 10 blocks from the gas station I was headed to... That was fun.Current:

I've been spending time getting our old maxima to run again. It hasn't been very good at that lately but now I'm on the incentive program to get it going and not have to DD the White Van Penalty Box. So the problem was random intermittent engine failure that started a couple years ago. Replace coolant temp sender, it ran fine for a couple days then right back at it, test the CAS and TPS and replace both, same result, coils were already new so leave em be, replace fuel filter, nothing solves the problem so park it.. who cares. But now I gotta get it running so do some more looking, replace the fuel pump relay and that solved a piece of it. Then yesterday the last of the issue went away when I started tracing vacuum lines. Damn, what a lotta leaks. Fix all those and now it purrs... as well as anything can that has 330k miles anyway. Now to give it a much needed inside and out bath, then get it back on the ins. policy, then go get tabs for the silly thing..'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Swapped my clutch pedal box as well as the 5 speed brake and throttle pedal box into the red miata. Also installed the clutch hydraulics, and removed the front 2/3rds of the chassis harness from the white car. Tomorrows plan is to finish the electrical on the red car, then it's onto mechanical and finding a hood for it.Current:

so I can install my PBM subframe risers and toe arms/RUCAs. that'll happen Friday, with the subframe/diff hopefully going back in by Sunday. with any luck the car will be on the street next week.
