Washed it and took it to work for our carshow.

Sorry for the stupid angle. It was the only way the whole car would fit into the frame inside the carwash...

I'm starting to get serious about building a lowish compression 347 stroker for this beast... I can shave 200+LBS by swapping the all-iron big block for a small block with aluminum heads AND two 67mm snails. It wont have quite the diff crunching low end that it currently has, but it'll more than make up for that with top end, weight reduction and proper gearing/tire size. Should be friendlier to the drivetrain, and much friendlier to the handling of the thing. I'm confident that i can drop a full second and get into the mid 12's without doing crazy launches, and have a chance at possibly auto-xing her on occasion too.

Sorry bout your luck with the Nissans Atomic, sounds like a real pain in the a**. Glad you got her running though :-) Cody that ride looks sweet, why not a 331 stroker? Get the best of both worlds with the torque and still be able to wind the engine out pretty far on the rpms so you don't have to shift so early. Pretty good on the volumetric efficiency to. Supercharge it lol.

        turbos > blower 4-eva

gonna actually work on the horrible Nissan this week, I should probably get around to registering it one of these days.

Lol, my dad's 347 revs to 8200 rpm. How much more would I need? And twin turbocharging is the only way to fly for my Torino.

LOL @ "weight reduction" in a car that needs its own zipcode

like it'll eeeeven notice 200 lb!. But absolutely do it. Do it all. That godam behemoth is freaking awesome as it sits right there. Doubleturbo stroker would bring it into the realm of the epic.

meanwhile, speakin of things that need thier own zipcode, I found out that Moby the Road Castle's Konis are adjustable. And that the factory send them out the door at full soft. I thought this thing went down the road really really well, but this needed looking at. The 4 in back had been adjusted, I just added a bit of rebound. But the 4 up front were still set full soft. Not anymore they ain't. Road test should be interesting but that's gonna hafta wait. The Jones/Aero 5" resonator showed up finally. We'll have to see if the intarwebz are right, that it won't be any much louder, EGT will drop, maybe gain a little giddyyup, and maybe a teeny bit of MPG...

This stoopid thing is going on a cat 3208 turbodiesel and will prolly not make it or any car any quieter, even if it's just running straight pipe. I'm gonna make it so I can put the stock stuff back on if it's too obnoxious. But I am curious as to what you're running in a car that would use 5" exhaust! Cody might need that if he twinsnail his Torino, which btw I wanna see moar pix of dat.

Ryan, IIRC Spintech mufflers are pretty legit for keeping noise down while still allowing for good flow.

FWIW I'm running 3" turbo-back with no cat and just a Magnaflow muffler on the wagon and it isn't bad- drove it from CT to VT at 70ish the whole way (where a BP usually drones the worst) and didn't want to shoot myself.

I met Atomic a couple weeks ago while going up to NH to pick up this cherry. He sold me some cool parts for cheap. Pretty cool guy, doesn't afraid of anything.

Then i raped all the good parts off the NB. (Well... half the good parts at least.) Hardtop, huge Alumatec front shock tower brace, Corbeau A4s + sliders, Autopower 5-point Kam-lock harnesses, Boss Frog Clearview roll bar, Boss Frog harness bar.

Put that **** on the NA.

                            Can't even handle my swag!

5spd/4.3 combo is pretty much the worst thing ever.
