Well, today, I um bought my non-protege. Sure as hell wasn't expecting to.... Have ya ever seen something nice on ebay and you just know the reserve is way outta reach but the bid is low so ya put one in at what your max comfort level is just for fun and try to find out how serious the other bidders are. and find that you are high bidder but reserve still not met? And then have the auction close and you're still high bidder? But the seller gets hold of you and says it's yours at that price if ya want it? Me nieither. I aint gonna divulge further cuz it isnt here yet. But watch this space....

Of COURSE it is. Catastrophically, monumentally dumb.

I sure hope it lives up to all this hype. Though, since this is jay, I'd be more surprised if it didn't.

Wierder and dumber than a cossie by ah um a bit. I ain't writing these hints *just* to screw with y'all. I am also attempting to rationalize, justify, comprehend what I went and did. That and 4shots coffee this morning so far. And what the hell, it's been pretty quiet around here lately.

                      Been testdriving many, many cars
                      Needs a 4 seater
                      that works
that is comfy and civilized so that those forced into those other seats are, you know, willing to do so
                      that is vastly amusing
Meaning that is has to turn stop and go in a most competent manner
That is still at least somewhat of a sleeper
Have grown weary of lag and buzzes and squeaks and rattles. Am not 20 anymore
Does not want to be reminded of the last car. RIP lil treasure, you mad mad mad lil sumbitch
Has almost no interest in building hotrods anymore but still has fatal weakness for them
Has learned lesson, do not buy joe schmoe's hot rod, if one must do this thing, do it right
Depreciation is a wonderful thing when it happens to someone else
Had every intention of buying OEM factory stock in the name of dead nuts reliablility
Utterly, completely, totally failed in about the most disasterous fashion possible
But doesn't care, cuz still 100% factory
VANOS is German for "do you like inevitable 10k repair bills?"
4 interlocking rings is code for how many pools of oil will appear on your garage floor over and over
CTS V stands for "Cannot Tolerate Sitting here for Very long"
Lexus... gad. nope. sorry. am not logical enough to accept the lexusness.
Mazda makes nothing like this. Too bad really.
Able to do own oilchanges and such, and get at things like sparkplugs and filters without killing one's self
Has every single receipt service record and document. All of it. And so could call round and verify history and such. Srsly guys, make sure your next car has a paper trail and keep one for the car you have now. Even if it is a total pos. Like so many in my inventory.
Pay no more than used wrx money. well maybe used sti money.
Can flip for profit if I come to my senses
Insure for what it's worth without hassle--oopsie, fail. Oh well.

there's a manufacturer that's conspicuous by its absence, but the only thing I can think of that they make that's weirder than a Cossie isn't something I can see you buying.

I wonder if you can get a Carlton for used WRX money...

I didn't see buying anything like this till I drove one. Still kinda wigged out about it. Let that be a lesson. Don't drive new or even new-ish ****.

I ah never saw a Carlton for my tax bracket. Now, that woukda been wierder and dumber. Unless you reallly believe James May drove that Esprit across South America without it breaking down every other minute.

man, I've got something in mind that fits your hints, but it doesn't seem weird enough.

can't wait to find out what it is.
