Is anything from a 626 worth saving?

A friend of mine is moving to the mainland and leaving me his 98ish 626 4banger with blown head gasket. Is there anything worth saving that works on a BG? Or even things that people always look for to replace in these cars? My plan is to pull whatever I can that's useful, and then sell the car to the scrappers.

If parting out, keep the radiator. It's shorter and wider than the BG ones. You can tuck it under the core support with some light fab work, and clear a pretty big turbo that way.

Ace, I've thought about it, but a few things are stopping me.

        1. I don't have the money to invest right now.
        2. The car is not in very good shape even if the motor was running.
        3. After all the time/money invested. If it doesn't sell, or I lose money on it, I'm screwed.

My best bet is to salvage what I can and scrap or donate it.

Cody, thanks for the tip. I'll add that to my list of things to pull.

Take some pics, and put a post up on Mazda626.net saying your parting out the car. No one ever parts them out, So im sure alot of members would want parts.

As long as it's a 98+, the rear sway bar is an upgrade for the Probe guys, as are the brakes. It may have one of several rear sway bars though. I personally need the main heater flapper box, but shipping would likely be more than it's worth.
