What?! My neighborhood is virtually crime free, working class, nice ranch houses, people take care of thier lawns, and is a nice place to live. There's a decent spread of ethnic groups/races and we all get along, even if my family has so many cars that it looks like people are constantly over. We haven't had a single problem with it in the 23 years my family has lived in this house.
So we need intervention? From what?

I know it's a symbol, it's just funny to me that they'd give people light bulbs.

HMMM, The thing that worries me is what people in my neighborhood use light bulbs for. Lets just say it's for smokin crack! God damn religous people. I have the same basic problem with the mormons here. Everymonth they come knocking on my door, and every month I tell them there god is dead and yet they still bug me!

Why, because he isn't religous and doesn't believe people should try to push their religon on others?

And for the sake fo argument, don't you see this as a bad thing? Don't you think distributing printed pamphlets and recruiting with small tokens defeats the purpose of religon and reduces it to nothing more then a commercialized company?

It is just my personal opinion that religon is something you find on your own, not something that is thrown at you or left on your doorstep.

Yeah, if these holy rollers tried to hit me the cops would be there ASAP and I'd start a civil case claiming a hate crime.

We get the Mormons every month or so. We see them walking up the street and say "oh no here they come". Then when they ring the door bell we'll open the door, look at them, and close it. Quickly locking it also adds a nice touch, if they can hear it. I've got a no soliciting sign somewhere around here but I can never get to it in time.
