    foooood!!

do you guys cook?? i moved in with my sister and her husband... and we kinda made a deal where each of use cook 2 nights a week... and on the 7th night we eat cereal or something.

i was up first. it was ok, very heavy, and a little on the spicey side

first i sauted (sp?) the chorizo sausages and mushrooms in the pan... then poured in some whipping cream, cajun spice, and a handful of shredded parmesan. then the noodles went in.

it's the first time i ever actually made a real sit-down meal.. lol

Well, you gotta start somewhere. I cooked like that when I moved out to college, so I know where you're coming from.

since i moved back into my parents when i started school i became the family cook. my sister in law used to own a fine dining place back in philly and she says I should drop my biology major and get into the culinary arts, but I would rather enjoy cooking instead of making a living out of it.
if you're really interested in cooking I recommend getting a subscription to cooks illustrated magazine and checking your local tv listings for the PBS show America's Test Kitchen.

              I love the Food Network!!!

Protegebob: you should get a job is what you are passionate about. If cooking is your calling, I guarantee you'll do much better in that than biology. If it's the other way around, then that's fine too.
I love music and law and cars. I work a day job in automotive to pay for my night justice/legal classes that'll allow me to get the job I really want, make a difference in people's lives, all while making music on my freetime. Oh, and I have also fallen in love with cooking!!!

Mmmm.................this thread is making me hungry!

I enjoy cooking, but seldom do because my dad does the cooking. We don't let my mom in the kitchen.
