They wont turbo charge the miata because the miata CAN'T be more powerful than the rx8.
They can't turbo charge the rx8 because the motor already has super ****ty fuel economy despite the "estimated" mpg's. The damn thing would get 8 city and 12 highway if it were turbod by the factory.

if im not mistaken the miata is already turbo charged from the factory. isnt the mazda speed mx5 a turbo'd model???
That's the NB (2nd) generation MazdaSpeed Miata, which has a BP that's turboed. It ran '04-'05, as all MazdaSpeed cars they only do them for 2 years(*Except the MSP, which was 2 half-years, but it was piss slow anyway).

You say that, but the MS6 and MS3 are significantly faster than the RX-8...even the new Miata runs very strong and close to the RX-8 til higher speeds.
The fuel economy is one reason, the other being that Mazda now has a 1.6L Renesis to debut in the 2009 RX-8. It's the first size change since...jees...late '70s when the 13B came out in the RX-5?
That SC'ed Cosworth engine is tasty. Waiting for it to appear at my dealership.
