    Last night, thieves stole over a dozen sets of wheels and tires from a
    number of Spec Miata racers in the paddock at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Tires stolen were used and new Toyo RA-1s and Toyo R-888s, 205/50-15; some were mounted, some were not. Wheels stolen include Team Dynamics and Rotas, 15x7 size 4x100 bolt pattern.

    Only Spec Miata wheels and tires were stolen. The guys paddocked next to me had several sets stolen. By some amount of luck none of my stuff was stolen, maybe because I put a tarp over everything before I left for the night.

    This theft is especially appalling because many Spec Miata racers are the
    ones who can least afford to replace the stolen items.

    Please keep an eye out for anyone selling wheels and tires that may have
    come from this theft. If you see anything suspicious, please report the details to the Monterey County Sheriff, or to me if you don't feel comfortable contacting them directly.

    WTF that is messed up. i really hope they find whoever stole all the wheels and tires and i feel really bad for those racers who needed them for the events.
