    Wow. just, wow

This is about the biggest not-crash I've seen yet. Impressive recovery, this.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

People who race cars of any kind think motorcycle racers are absolutely off theirs meds. This is my BP. There are many like it but this one is mine. My BP is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my BP is useless. Without my BP I am useless. I must drive my BP true. I must drive straighter than my enemy, who is trying to beat me. I must beat him before he beats me.

I kinda collect these oh-sh!t moments, so when I find myself in one I can try and convince myself that there's a way out. Here's one of the scariest. Ari Vatanen, 1983 Manx rally. Doesn't quite count as a scot-free getaway cuz he did tag the scenery, but it could have been sooo, so so much worse.

This clip is hairy as hell from the getgo, way before the "oh dear god" moment. Just look at what he does to stay on the road through the town. I'm quite aware that he's faster on the flat tire than I would be in a perfect car.
I've seen 90mph on gravel stage roads about as narrow as this but it was lined with little trees and bushes and stuff, not freaking rock walls!
