Some background: We have windows 2k servers here at work, all 4 of them domain controllers, all with the active directory stuff. To tell you the truth, no one here including myself knows a whole lot about it. Before I was hired, they contracted with a company to set up the servers, so no one working here had a hand in the setup.
I've trying my hand at starting some simple login scripts right now, and I just wrote a small .bat file to test on my user account. I (think) I have it set up properly, but I've come across a problem that I think might be effing things up.
Everyone know the SYSVOL directory under %systemroot% ??? Well, from what I hear it's supposed to be shared so the servers can replicate the data. The problem I'm having is that there is another SYSVOL directory INSIDE of the SYSVOL dir. And THAT one is shared. I'm thinking this is probably giving us some problems, but I don't have enough experience with W2k server to know.
