1300 for a mx3 fs with a blown motor and f series trans? Man I'm going to start buying these fueL 300-500 dollar mx3s and drop a jy bp in them for another 150 and sell them for 2000. If he gets more than 1000 that's what I'm going to do. I sold my running lx with 2 spare motors and a ****load of parts and full leather mx3 seats front and rear including 2 sets of rims to a guy who drove it to Chicago without anything going wrong. And my car might have had a couple minor dents and 1 dime sized rust spot but it had a ****load of mods for 1700. End rant1993 Protege LX-Midnight's shadow SOLD

My parents just bought a wrecked 2007 ford focus to fix and use as a family daily driver. (anybody in the family will be able to drive it.) I was trying to get them to get the mazdaspeed 3 I saw on a repairable site, but my mom HAD to have something with an automatic, even if it costed the same as a MUCH better car.... And yes, the focus is a 4 door with tan interior and auto trans.
But at least they didn't get the toyota prius that was also on the repairable site!!! That would have been horrible.....
And at least the focus is related to the mazda 3 like the escort is related to the protege.
Hopefully they will let me modify it a little over the summer. I want to install a cold air intake (either steeda or fswerks), fs werks stealth 2.5" exhaust, srmotorsports underdrive pulley, cfm performance throttle body, a set of ford racing lowering springs, and then maybe convert to svt focus brakes all around. But I don't know if they will let me do that stuff. My family has lots of bg's!
2003 Ford Escort ZX2: Project car/future daily driver. Built Ford Tough (With Mazda Stuff)
1999 Escort ZX2: Daily driver/beater. Going to be replaced by the '03 next summer.
2000 Escort ZX2 S/R: bought wrecked, going to use as parts car
1992 Protege LX: My old race car. Just a wrecked shell right now. Waiting for scrap to go up so that I can get rid of it.
1992 Mazda 323: Race car
1992 Escort Gt: My grandpa's old race car
1994 Escort GT: My grandpa's new race car.
Parts cars; 1993 Escort Gt, 1995 Escort lx

If you have a BG keep It! Hard to kill and economical to operate/repair

Do this first!
Not what I did when on the road and got in trouble with a breakdown, be all 'I'm a man' thing.
We are club Protege!
I could have paid for many years a subscription to CP on $500. when my Fuel pump was said to have died. Several hundred miles from home. The did a bad job, was taken back.... long story. 110 miles for gas fillip where fuel over spilled the tank due to poor workmanship. I even had a spare pump in my parts at home. The Pump did not fix my problem.
It would behoove us all to have:
> A subscription here
> A cp buddy to call/text for roadside assistants. (SOS text)
> And a tow package is an ideal measure for safety also
like National Motor Club, Good Sam, I use Coach net for RV and car towing. Not a fan of AAA it's for stupid discounts I rarely use.
These moderators on here know BFs, Bgs and EGT well.
I will re up my subs asap. Toyota Sucks! The earthquake /Tsunami got me laid off, 4-27-2011 and not recalled.
At 51, go figure, who wants an aging Captain Kangaroo to hire. The want young people to boss over and beat down, yes and pay too little.
I don't know how Mazda treats there people, but I darn sure like the products!
Guys CP is the forum guys I know. Someone is always active on here. I belong to many, lawn and garden, Ranger trucks, Cub Cadet, CP I'll get and answer in reasonable time, just from using this forum! Never have met one person I did not like from here either.
Says a lot.
Sorry Turpro I must use a Kilt below the knees for my posts, reference to your SIG PIC

Possible good engine
Heads up, A tuqoise 93 Protege LX is in The Louisville, Ky PAP yard on Recovery road, window marked Engine good, oil looked good also. Auto trans was said bad. Rears seats very good condition. I took the cup holders, door panels, and grill. 130k on odo.
Appeared to be bone stock and not too bad of condition to be in this yard.David

The car is a 93 LX in the import section of course, I saw it coming out of the ford Ranger sections not finding anything. Saw this and thought I have to look and the controls to the door panels where even there.
Yes the rear trunk and bumpers are good, tails and one driver turn is good. Back seats will clean as new. I think the tranny is bad as it is in the trunk, no keys, all dash parts are in tact. I took the working cup holder out. The housing was fkd by a lot lizard.
Moon roof looks ok, (metal pan). I need a hood, some jack ace in a 4x4 backed into it last winter a year ago, broke the grill and the hood is needing replaced. Driver took off of course.
Chris there is at least one or two BG Pros in this city bone stock red in color that look great. I don't know how to find them to hook them up to us. I can't run plates anymore with out formal reports, so those days of learning who owns the BG on street sightings is over unless I get fortunate enough to introduce myself.David
