LPN (??pay rates??)

Is anyone on the board in the nursing field?
Do you know what the usual pay rate is?
I was just wondering, because the health field is my personal interest.

In MN I thought the rates were in the high 20s low 30s. RN are 35 and up I beleive. Not exactly sure as I'm a lowly social worker.

I am looking into getting a BA in Nursing. Looks like a damn good field. My mom, aunt, grandma is in it + others. I dunno. I didn't think that LPN paid so damn good. Hmm think I found a new JOB to get into.

I am just not happy doing what I do, never was, never will be.

i think you could check that at mosnter.com......im always told to check the site for pay rates.....but i never have

anyways i personally work in the mortuary field and im considering nurisng....they payfor entry level in around the low 20's

Bruce Bruce this is my profession It depends also where you live and all that stuff, Here in good ole TN i make about 18 dollars an hour, whenever i get my Rn lisence i will be up in the 20 to 22 dollar range, we have such a great need for nurses the pay is unreal!!

there you can search for common job titles and the salary ranges the job's usually pay. more specifically, for new york city, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is slated anywhere between $40,124 to $45,612 .. thats all depending on experience, training, etc.. and also thats the 25th to 75th percentile range for that particular job title.

what i suggest is that you'll at least make 37k a year, but thats all depending. and with a BA in nursing, you should be able to get an RN.. i see no reason why not.. my girlfriend is going through community college (read 2 years of school) for her RN, the only difference may be the on job training.. i haven't any clue on this matter and hopefully someone in the nursing field can clarify this, but in your area, again going from 25% to 75%, you'd be looking at around 79k to 93k per year.. more respectively, at least 50k i would imagine.

Bruce it won't take you long at all i had on the job traning then my work sent me to school paid for it all even my salary, but it is very rewarding! I think you'd make a fine nurse!!
