a curb.
i took a turn at about 20mph, hit some sand while my tires were still cold and just slid right into a curb.
luckily that was the only damage, so i don't really care, my GF and I are alright, and no other cars were involved.

I had a friend who did that in his Toyota Celica... except HE hit the curb at 50 mph... luckily his dad had a machinist friend so it only cost him about 80 for a new support arm... i think he still needs a new steelie though, his was bent to hell!Silver 2001 Protege ES

yeah.. it's 675 in parts, and 375 in labour.
plus taxes 'n junk.. comes to a little over 1200 in the end... they're suggesting i get a new wheel, as well.. but i REALLY don't want to spend any more money on my car.
i'm done for the summer... i just realized that in a blink of an eye my car can be turned into a heap of rubble.
I think i'm going to concentrate all my finances to paying off debts (line of credit, credit cards and car loan)... that way if i ever hurt my baby again, i'll be able to take the hit and not cry like a little girl, again.
