Best Rock Bands/Albums of the 90's..

Well, impart, i'm looking to build my compilation of rock bands/albums from the 90's/today.. may include some songs from the 80's as i'm not the most musically aware person.. and impart, i'm just worried i'm missing a few good bands, and so far, i've built up a few..
    Deftones
The Offspring - Self Titled & Smash
Metallica - Load & Reload (refuse others)
    Pearl Jam - Every album
Pink Floyd - not sure which albums i should be pulling from entirely.. what do you suggest?
    Collective Soul - every album
    A Perfect Circle and Tool
    Sound Garden
    Nirvana
    Some Eric Clapton
    Some Blind Melon
    Some Smashing Pumpkins
Sevendust - Self titled & Home
Primer 55 - introduction to mayhem
    Tantric - first album
    Creed - first album
    Alice and Chains period
    Jerry Cantrell solo
    Disturbed
    Godsmack - Self titled
Sugar Ray - Floored and Lemonade and Brownies (anything else is musical crap)
    Bush - Razorblade Suitecase & 16 Stone
Rage Against the Machine - Battle for Los Angeles
Foo Fighters (not sure of albums)
    Fuel (not sure of albums)
    Incubus - The Science
    Live - Throwing Copper
    Stereomud
Stone Temple Pilots - Purple and No. 4
    System of a Down
Shinedown - NEW band.. absolutely spectacular
as you can see, my selection is varying in rock styles, but escentially just that.. ROCK. I'm trying to think of mid-90's bands that sound good.. and i'm open to some opinions and wondering what other bands i may be missing. most likely, i will diverge 4 to 5 tracks from each cd/band and create a straight mp3 cd from this.. and i need some help... so all you rockers out there, if you can think of anything i missed, i'll give it a sample and toss it in.. just need something STRAIGHT rock

where the **** are the chili peppers? how they hell are they excluded, and yet you have TANTRIC! one of the ****tiest "one-hit" bands on earth. Only their one song was good..the rest sucked, even their new album completely sucked.

i can see where you get that.. i just like the melody and guitar harmony tantric provides.. plus the vocals is something you have to condition yourself for.. in other words, may eventually grow on the right person. i forgot 311 namely.. i'm just tired of a few of the newer bands (the strokes, white stripes, switchfoot, any punk band that resembles any form or sound of sum 41 or blink 182, and some new band that was on Craig Killborne tonight.. stella something. reguardless, i hate these new neo-70's rock bands.. they couldn't do it right then.. what makes them think it sounds good now??

Are you wanting just 90's bands? Here are a few I could think of:

                  Silverchair
                  Candlebox
                  Cracker
                  The Nixon's
                  Seven Mary Three
                  Sublime
                  Everclear
                  Green Day
                  Local H
                  Weezer
                  Sabbing Westward
                  Third Eye Blind
                  Matchbox 20
                  Soul Assylum
                  Better Than Ezra
                  Eve 6

meh, please don't call the strokes or white stripes or any of the "the" bands punk. Just call it crap. Switchfoot is actually a christian band I think. They have the one decent song on the radio the rest of the album is crap. There are great punk bands out there such as rise against, anti-flag, or the suicide machines to name a few. There are also great pop-punk bands like the descendants or new found glory which was previously mentioned. Then there are the crap "produced" "pop-punk" bands such as simple plan who can lick my nut sack.

Pink Floyd doesn't quite seem to fit with the 90's music, but if you want albums from them, most of them are great. For a compilation I would suggest the Wall disc 2, The Division Bell, Dark Side of the Moon, and A Momentary Lapse of Reason.

                          Also:
                          The Goo Goo Dolls
                          Toad the Wet Sprocket
                          Matchbox 20

A Momentary Lapse of Reason is terrible.
It should have been named "A Momentary Lapse of Bowel Control"
Division Bell ain't so bad. But not excruciatingly great either.
Get some live tracks from Pulse, or is it P.U.L.S.E.?
I'd say if you're gonna use anything from The Wall, then use both discs.
As for Darkside, well, its timeless music so even though it was released in 73 its a necessity for most compilations.

                              Pink Floyd afficionado here.
