opinions on repaint of race car.

***other designs in post 6***I have been thinking about redoing the body on my race car for a long time, and I think I have finally decided that I am going to do it. I have thought about repainting it to how it was when I first built it, but after thinking it over again, I think I want something different than how it was. I just got photoshop a few weeks ago, and I thought it would be a good time to try it out. What do you guys think of my planned paint job and aero mods? Thoughts, opinions and suggestions are welcome!!! (please fogive my photoshopping skills, as it's my first time using photoshop, and I'm still learning. lol)

I figure flat black with red lettering would be the way to go because flat black is cheap, and easy to touch up, and I have lots of red paint. And the green accents are for my pit crew so that they can pick my car out from over 50 other cars running. Also, I plan on doing some aero stuff to the car, for both function at high speed tracks and for cosmetics. I already have a front nose (bumper) from a asphalt late model, and I will be installing that, so I photoshopped that in. I am still trying to figure out if I want all the decals on the car or if I just want to leave it black and just have my number and my name on it.....

    Haha "<- only"

Flat black and red would look menacing. I say names, number and not too many decals, only the most important. Unless you get sponsorship or something.

Is the center brake light hooked up during races. I made a custom light for mine that says "zoom." Might be able to do something for your car, but I would need to find an assembly to get the shape right.

I would say flat black with just your number and name on it in red. I think that would give it a more purposeful and tasteful look. Putting decals on makes it look too busy and showy, more like a rolling billboard than a pure race car.

Just my opinion and, of course, I could be wrong.

That's why I said unless he gets sponsorship from someone and that's why the decal is on the car.

Yea definitly don't advertise a product when they aren't sponsoring you. The wouldn't advertise your site without you paying them why should you do it for them

Yeah, I was thinking that, but then I also thought most race cars have to have decals. But I already made a plain, more devilish looking car before the ones I posted. Here they are.

I am planning on hand lettering the car after I'm done painting it flat black, so the only decal that would be on the car is the clubprotege decal. And I might not be able to put that on, as don't know how much it will cost to make. I mean, if it costs to much, I would just put some small ones on that Ryan sent me, and save the money for making the car faster. But I really think that the big one on the fenders in my photoshop would look awesome. I tried blank fenders and it doesn't look right.

Oh, and irishkev90, the stop light is used at certain races, but not all of them. And I will be making a switch that will disable it after the halfway point. I don't like people knowing when I brake, as they tend to try and outbrake me if they know. But I like using it early in the race because there are so many red flags early in the race, and I don't want to get rear ended.

Oh, and just wanted to let you know that the front bumper will be painted flat black, as will be the front air dam. I just wanted to keep them unpainted in the photoshop to show how they will look. Painting over them in photoshop seems to get rid of the detail.
