                The raised hood makes the car run noticeably cooler, so I'm happy with it. I dunno if anything would happen in an accident, hard to say.

                  I was looking @ my hood today & didn't see any reason why i couldn't just cut slots or even a section out to fthe back of the hood allowing air flow out.... without havign to raise it.. we'll see im going to buy one of those guage dealy's

                    If you wanna cut the hood, theoretically cutting it in the front would work better. That being said tipping up the back seems to work great too, possible cause the sides are raised as well.

                        just don't use a hood at all You can remove it for the track.

                          then if you somehow spring an oil leak, you get blinded! lol. happened to my friend in his 350 swapped S10... threw a rod with no hood on... on the street. lol
