Once your talking turbocharged then there is way to many factors to try and compare.
The only thing thing the FE3 has over a KL is that the rods arent non-forged toothpicks
Done with rant.Last edited by The Pile; 07-25-2011, 04:54 PM.

Thats like putting a 4 banger mustang against a V6 mustang, or even like putting a stock 289 V8 SB Chevy vs a 302 SB.
There is no replacement for displacement.
But since there is only like a 20 hp difference, its almost a dead drop in install, will run off of the BP ecm and to the non-mazda common eye could be passed on as a BP, hell, why not?
Seeing this build, imma do a FE3 swap instead of a KL. Less hassle, and almost the same performance.
edit: do you think that cage will provide enough frame stiffness, lol. Looks like it should be rigid enough.Last edited by 93BlkOnGreenPro; 07-25-2011, 05:41 PM.My car is a Vazondissan. Part Nissan. Part Mazda. Part Ford. Part VW. Part Honda.

still churning over cage ideas for the main hoop.... i might run a horizontal bar instead of a kickback harness bar & then run 2 diagonals to that...............
I don't need as much room as initially thought, based on mainhoop position---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

I would think that a main hoop tied into the rear strut tower, x roof, a pillar runs and a low door bar would be the ticket.
edit: if you didnt plan on running the headliner or a pillars, but you did say that this was going to be a daily with ac for the ladies.
My post may be a little to raw for them. The resonance and noise would be a mood killa, unless she was hardcore. Then I would promptly ask you if she had a sister/mother/cousin that shared similar similarities.Last edited by 93BlkOnGreenPro; 07-25-2011, 10:10 PM.My car is a Vazondissan. Part Nissan. Part Mazda.
