I don't think you will have to worry about it, ryan. I have run huge (225/70R14 and 205/75R14) tires on the rear of my race cars with very thin washers as spacers to get the tires not to rub on the strut, and that puts a LOT of leverage on the studs, and I still haven't broken them out. Not even on the VERY rough dirt tracks. (where I hit holes hard enough while cornering that I get the left side tires off the ground half a foot, and hard enough dips that I bottomed out the front suspension so hard that this happened:

      Bump for progress!!

Main hoop tacked in place rear (60 split) can fold down so things can be put through the hatch.
Seat also can have a good amount of angle to it.

Radiator saw a bit of massaging........

because i like my creature comforts... and i use my 323 to haul ALOT of stuff. you of all people should know that antonio - think back to the many trips up there in my old one.

i have to agree. at least if your reasoning is because you haul alot. hell, id just to a 2 seat conversion and do a full flat floor back there. 323 pick-em-up style!

It's nice to have the seat be able to stay up so stuff doesn't slide around as much too, like on a hard stop. plus I've noticed that with the seat up you get better sound quality from the radio, as well as less road noise echoing up from the attenuation chamber that is the spare tire well.

How much of a gap do you have between the top of the main hoop and the roof? If it's big enough to be able to weld the rest of the cage on, how's your headroom going to be?

                        Comment

                          Heaps of headroom.

I honestly don't give a **** about anyones opinion telling me to take the back seats out.........
I won't trash the look of the car inside or out. I absolutely despise cars without interior.
so with that said...... onto more progress!!!

Looks awesome Ryan, can't wait to see this thing in action! I would never ditch my back seat either. Although I would get something that clears the bar like Escort lx rear seats in dark blue though. Looking forward to more progress!

Yeah, I like my rear seats as well. With the loud exhaust, it helps keep it quiet up by me. I just wish I had the rear truck sun cover or whatever you call it. Mine was damaged and I took it out, but now I can hear the exhaust more, and people can see what I have in my trunk, which I don't like.

Decided against making a throttle-body adapter & just cut the FE3 flange off entirely. (anyone want a brand new AL FE3 flange???[create your own TB])
