True, but it was connected to a much less rigid chassis previously. Just a thought.
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

Can anyone actually sit back there? Not that i would recommend it, bc a slap to the face from that roll cage would hurt.

I think he uses it more for hauling items instead of people. Might be wrong, probably am.

                  its mainly for aesthetics purposes.
However. im 6' 1" & can comfortably sit behind the drivers seat.
I do mainly use the space for hauling misc stuff tho

I'm guessing you will be padding the roll cage so that you don't hit your head on any of it? If so, the best place I've found is speedway motors. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Roll-Bar-Padding,896.html

I've tested this stuff in my race car without a helmet on, and it works pretty good.

I was right! Haha. I think passengers would be fine as long as you don't slam the brakes or get in an accident, though.

brody. i don't plan on padding the cage. the front cabin area has ALOT of headroom in all directions to the bars. proper harness/seatbelt systems would prevent you flying around the car

I would pad at least a little. As hard as it is to believe, seat belts stretch a bit when you are in an accident. I'd pad any bar within 6-10" from your head with padding. In our racing, the tech guys want at least 10", and that's with our 5 point harness, that don't stretch much at all. Street belts stretch twice as much as our race belts, plus they have to have to have their ratchets catch. So thats a few inches itself. As an example, check out my roll over video. Skip to 3:01, as thats where the roll over occurs. Look at how much my head moves. Keep in mind I had brand new 5 point harness on VERY tight, and I wasn't even going that fast when it happened. Just think of what could happen when you go faster than that. Also, I did hit my head on the roll bar's halo on the left side hard enough to smudge my helmet, even with roll bar padding.

I second installing roll-bar padding. If someone T-bones you, or rear-ends you, you will move a lot more than you think.

At least on the main hoop and over the top of the doors.

Honestly guys..........what good is an inch or less of foam padding really going to do.
In any serious accident it won't matter
