yes i've played with the vaf & the disty. Also 3 wiresets & 2 plug sets.

Going to throw another throttlebody at it. rewire the fuel injector harness & put different injectors in it.

Hey Ryan, have you looked into Hydra Nemasis stand alone? I think it's cheaper than Haltech, and already has miata applications, so it's pretty close for our cars.

yea first thing ide do is compression test that bitch.. you might be trying to fix a problem that isnt there.

When does it miss?? At idle, crusing? under boost? no load 2500rpm?? Have you tryed pulling plug wires out while its missing to see how the motor reacts and determine what cylinder is missing?

Also for ****s and giggles run your fuel line into a clean container and pump some of your fuel out of your tank and have a look at it... I just had a neon with a random missfire that had me stumped for a while... To my surprise I found water in the gas... First time I have seen that..

i agree. Low compression could be causing the issue as well. But it would really suck if that's the issue.

the gas could be an issue however i suspect not. i drained the tank & added 6 gallons of fresh premium the night i first started it.
the lines had been cleaned out after before installing a brand new fuel filter.

I'll do a compression test today & slap some other injectors in it. i've got my thoughts its injectors.
as the first step i figure i'll try removing the coolant lines i have running to the TB & see if that fixes my idle surge problem.

well. injectors are an issue. among other things:

                          radiator $117 "fix" isnt holding
oil pump main seal is leaking
                          WaterPump gasket is leaking
intake manifold runners 2-3-4 had gas puddles in them...... bone dry in runner# 1
tensioner bearing sounded a little louder to me then id like. so a whole new timing belt kit is on the way

Short of that. i fixed the coolant leak on the inlet side of the turbo the fitting was slightly loose

on to another day tomorrow to see what bits i can tackle.......

                            injectors fixed your miss?

very likely to fix the issue. im putting the waterpump gasket & oil pump seal in tomorrow. rewiring the OEM injector harness with fresh wire also.
After that i'll put in the 420cc injectors i have & see how it runs.

meanwhile the 550's are being shipped out to witchhunter for inspection potentially a cleaning.
